Fall 2012 is all about tailored, ladylike silhouettes.  But if you’re anything like me, a closet full of slouchy sweaters and oversized tops doesn’t quite fit the bill.  But before heading out and buying a new wardrobe, take some notes from some of our favorite Fall 2012 runway looks.

When you’re trying to achieve a tailored look on the fly this Fall – opt for one of the seasons hottest accessories – the belt – it’s as simple as that!  Talk about an easy way to elevate an outfit, shrink your waist and tailor your clothes.

Add a skinny neon belt to your basic denim – it’ll add just the right amount of color.

Instead of hiding that belt under your jacket, cinch the waist of a boxy jacket for a sophisticated evening look.

Take your basic cardigan out on the town – wear a metallic belt over the cardigan for a slightly glamorous look.

Add a little bit of toughness to a frilly garment – this creates an edgy, yet ladylike look.
