Bassike Spring/Summer 2011

Collections for Spring and Summer 2011 are here! This is the first look at Australian label Bassike shown during Rosemount Australian Fashion Week. The collection proved to be one of RAFW favorites featuring double denim, heavy black and white stripes, Rodarte-esque knits and origami folding. needless to say, the Bassike runway was anything but basic. What I liked best about the collection was the casual tops and dresses for women pictured here.



The splurge: Gucci Cruiser Bicycle

In the heat of summer, there is nothing more enjoyable than cruising around on a fashionable bicycle, like, say the Gucci Cruiser Bicycle bike! This bike comes in black or while, complete with Gucci-ized handlebars, seat and side pack. Aside from being one of the most amazing investment pieces of the season, it also doubles as a true designer work of art!

Tie-Dye Lite

Jessi is constantly sewing herself the trendiest new dresses, shirts and pants (you can imagine how excited I get to receive presents from her). Just today, she completed this number, I call it Tie-Dye Lite. It’s made of gray bamboo. The draping is excellent, creating a very flattering silhouette, for an already slim gal. After the dress was completed, she added peach paint to a spray can and sprayed the dress to give it this nice Tie-Dye effect.

I’m hoping she makes me something similar for my up-coming birthday!

Tory Burch Expands to Japan

Last week Tory Burch opened her first free standing store in Japan, located in the Ginza District of Tokyo. The official opening celebration included a special meet and greet with Tory herself, and Japanese fashionistas waited their turn to get inside the party. The interior of this new store is off the hook!
