She decided to name this site Style Bust because she intended to bring current and relevant content regarding trends in fashion, accessories, beauty, home decor and music to its readers. By day, Nicole works as an Online Marketing Analyst for WorldMarket.com and as the President for the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising San Francisco Alumni Association. In her free time she enjoys seeing live music, thrift shopping, running (she’s a half-marathoner), windsurfing and finally, staying connected with fellow fashionistas and small business owners in the Bay Area. |

She considers herself a late bloomer where beauty products and make-up are concerned, and can’t wait to try new things and tell everyone about them. During the day she is a computer geek Formatting eBooks and at night she transforms herself into a blogger, night owl and huntress. Fresh out of Loras College with her PR degree in hand, she recently moved to the fabulous city of Chicago to pursue a career in music. Besides trying out her new role as a small fish in a big sea, Alisha is a self-taught music aficionado who prides herself on knowing what good music is around the bend before it becomes public knowledge. She has gotten her feet wet in many areas of the industry – from interning at Live Nation to dabbling in radio, touring, booking and promotions – and is hoping to land a gig that will allow her to combine her talent and passion. ![]() Alexa Gutierrez With a B.A. in English from UC Berkeley and a genuine propensity for styling and clothing, Alexa combines her two paramours via Style Bust: writing and fashion. After graduation and in search of some raw experience in the fashion industry, she spent time in Los Angeles working for two top designers, helping one in his editorial and marketing department and the other in her design studio. She became knowledgeable of the fashion industry and even wrote for and helped spearhead a designer’s blog. She currently works as a content writer and marketing assistant for a start-up company in the city and of course, researches and indulges in trends and style on the side. |

She might just be the only person to have ever worn a kimono and platform sandals to her 8th grade graduation. She’s created eye-popping editorial looks on Hollywood starlets and had worked behind the scenes for MTV awards and Golden Globes but some of her favorite LA moments include working on countless red carpet events and attending the swag parties. Tamra-Marie says, “scoring a swag gift bag tops the evening, your guaranteed to get some of the most coveted goodies”…its beauty galore! Tamra-Marie resides in the SF Bay Area but often travels back to Hollywood at her client‘s request. In between freelance projects, you can find her collaborating with photographers, checking out movie-flicks, blogging for Style Bust and, uncovering just what is — the best darn mascara that lives? |
![]() Susan Keefe, @Seafield_farm Susan Keefe is a freelance makeup artist, writer and blogger based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Susan left the ocean for big city Toronto to study history and art history at the prestigious University of Toronto. From there she attended Complections: International Academy of Makeup Artistry where she graduated at the top of her class. She has worked with countless models and photographers and is now a beauty writer for Fierce Magazine, but she has never forgotten her roots. Armed with her mother’s culinary teachings, Susan launched the food blog seafieldfarm.ca. The blog is named for the Nova Scotian family farm she was lucky enough to grown up on. Susan takes a simple, laid back approach to beauty and food preparation and focuses on providing recipes and beauty advice that can easily be followed and replicated at home, because every woman should have the to power to eat well and feel good no matter what. |

She recently started her own online style journal, Downright Red, to curate all things marvelous in fashion, dance and globetrotting adventures.Laurel attributes her great love of fashion and culture to incessant reading of the 19th century British Lit, and also growing up in Durango, CO – a beloved hometowm voted “Worst Dressed in America” in 1969.Before Downright Red, Laurel acquired degrees in English and Fashion Design, danced on small stages around the country, married her college sweetheart, and went scuba diving with giant Manta Rays in Fiji. |
![]() Liz Elizalde Liz was born and raised in beautiful Santa Barbara, but soon after graduating from high school she gave up the beach and warm weather to come to San Francisco to pursue a life in the city. Liz has been living in San Francisco for four years now, and loves everything about it from its diverse cultures, arts, music, fashion, but more than anything the wide variety of food it has to offer. Liz is currently working on her Masters Degree in Philosophy at San Francisco State University. Her passion for writing and her love for the city has lead her to devote time to tell us about her experiences; letting us in on the best San Francisco spots to grab a bite and find new and emerging artists. When Liz is not found and writing in her food journal or philosophizing with her cat Plato, she can be found at the vintage section of a local thrift store, sipping on a beer at a neighborhood bar, or reading an American novel with a black cup of coffee. |
