For the past few seasons I’ve had my eye on Zara, and I’ve noticed that the Spanish based retailer is the “go- to” store for fashionista’s all over the globe.

With their affordable fashion and their mix of both classic looks and the seasons trendiest pieces (like the neoprene top and pajama style trousers), Zara never seems to let us down!  And you’ve gotta love the Zara Lookbooks – such a great way for a retailer to show the fashion obsessed some serious fashion!

Here are some of my favorite looks from Zara’s Fall 2011 lookbook.

Key Pieces

Sequin mini: I’m not big into things that sparkle, but I love the idea of a sequin skirt, especially when worn with something unexpected like a cable knit sweater.

Basic black pencil skirt: A classic pencil skirt should be a staple in everyone’s closet.  Looks great for the office and even better with a pair of lace up ankle boots for an edgy nighttime look.

Southwest poncho: A vintage-looking poncho is great for those chilly Fall days.  I love pairing a poncho with boyfriend shorts or skinny boyfriend jeans, creating that “thrown together” look.

Colored wax denim: As we all know, colored denim is in for Fall – but why not spice it up a little?  The wax/leather looking denim adds the right amount of edge and looks cool paired with a grandpa sweater.

Leather armed jacket: Probably one of my favorite trends for Fall.  Leather armed jackets are very versatile – they look great worn with denim and look extremely on-trend when worn over a midi length dress.
