Pharell William’s Tank Chair
This is Pharell, the voice behind the band N.E.R.D. (No One Ever Really Dies) and the Neptune’s producer (thin Snoop Dog’s ‘Drop it like it’s Hot’). He is beautiful and amazing!
He’s been getting into furniture design, making his second chair titled The Tank Chair.
This modern, and somewhat clunky Plexiglas and leather chair will be on display at the Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin at design miami from December 1st to 5th, 2009.
Mice are going Woodgrain
As of recent, textured plastic has taken over almost all of our work-based accouterments No one ever really complained about the abundance of plastic products until recently Over the last few months, and maybe even during an attempt to look green, the latest craze has been about woodgrain accessories. I first reported on this trend while on my iPhone case binge. But now, I’ve found one of the coolest woodgrains to date…the optical mouse carved entirely out of wood, right down to the USB plug. These woodgrain mice are a product from Russian gadget maker Alest Rukov. The product comes in a few different woodgrain options, that all look fantastic. Of course, you won’t be able to pick it up for less than a thousand dollars – but it’s a fair price for spending all day handling ebony.
Restoration Hardware Fishing Weights
I was clicking through Restoration Hardware and my jaw dropped when I found these fishing weights $99.
I’m on the hunt for more affordable versions online. I think they would make good looking door stops.
Bedclothes by Vadim Cherniy
How super cute is this crap! Vadim Cherniy is a surprising designer. I’ve never heard of him before, and I can’t find any statics on the material/quality of the bedclothes collection, but based on looks – I believe it to be a thin layer of material you temporarily place over your actual bedding in hopes of a desired outcome: Hetero Sleep, Sex or Homo Sleep.
James Perse Furniture
James Perse Furniture is a seamless extension of the brand. It embodies the same philosophy as the clothing; timeless and simple, the essence of a casual way of living. The collection is not limited to only the indoors as it also extends to outdoor environments. Currently, four collections define the James Perse Furniture Line, The Malibu Collection, The Los Angeles Collection, The Nor Cal Collection and the Brentwood Collection
The Craftsman Platform Bed (pictured above) is from the Los Angeles Collection. Inspired from true craftsmanship, this collection has a rustic feel while maintaining clean lines.
I love the repeat (or lack thereof) on the stripe bedding featured on the bed, can anyone tell me where I can purchase the bedding?
The Minerals Collection by Lazerian
Manchester designer Liam Hopkins of Lazerian has created a collection of candle holders shaped like laboratory beakers titled the Minerals Collection because each design is named after a different mineral used to add color to candles.
Made of beech, the collection consists of five shapes available in three sizes. The designs were showcased at 100% design in London.
TV Easel by Restoration Hardware
The TV Easel by Restoration Hardware is an excellent alternative to a media center or table-top, the solid hardwood piece holds flat-screen televisions up to 60″ and has integrated component storage, which means all wires can be kept hidden and secure. And unlike a media center, this ebony finished easel looks good without the tv-it is also suited to display artwork and mirrors. Available at Restoration Hardware-catalog and web only.
