Fashion accessories are typically the easiest and cheapest way to update an otherwise outdated outfit. Tyvek bags by Saskia Diez
German designer Saskia Diez is known for her minimalist jewelry line, which is incredible if you haven’t seen it. Recently she’s branched out, beginning to sell two Papier handbags through Project No.8’s new online store. Shown above is the Papier 115G bag for $158.
It’s actually Saskia’s husband Stefan Diez who designed the bags for her. The bags are made of Tyvek, which is a waterproof, tearproof and recyclable material that is super light (less than 135G and explains why the bags are title Papier 115G and 135G).
Just the idea of super lightweight and durable travel bag that is not Lesportsac sounds nice, doesn’t it? Shown above is the Papier 135G bag for $193.
Lucila Lotti Shoes
Lucila Lotti, the designer behind her self titled shoe line began her business focusing on shoes made from bright colored patent leather, suede, satin and vinyl in homage to her mother who always wore heels and lipstick when leaving the home (sounds a lot like my Grandma Rue). Lucila’s debut collection has received attention from a handful of celebrity stylists, one in particular is Patricia Field (stylist for Sex & The City). Her bright, bold shapes and ability to mix colour and silhouette in a brave, fashionable style will no doubt continue to inspire more international press.
The Ankle Sock trend
Ankle socks with bare legs are appearing everywhere. The trend doesn’t feel natural, but it can look adorable and very hip if pulled off correctly. The key with this look is to experiment with different shoes and types of socks to find what feels comfortable for you. J.Crew has been featuring this look a lot for spring and they have a a good selection of different materials like fishnet, nylon, and knit in lots of colors.

To warm your heart, Warby Parker donates eyeglasses to someone in need for every pair sold.
Gold Teeth Jewlery by Le Knockout
Bearing shark teeth has long been used in jewelry ornamentation. The latest trend in jewelry, has taken teeth style to a new level, by blinging out human teeth. Designer Kim Kovel of LE KNOCKOUT creates gilded charms for parents currently moonlighting as tooth fairies. Using children’s real lost teeth, Kovel casts trinkets to be worn in multiples on bracelets, necklaces or earrings (shown above). The pieces are rather expensive, but they are one of a kind any unique to your family.
Dekkori Shoe Accessories
There are only so many way to wear shoes, or boots for the matter. Folding them down, lacing them up. So for women, funds continue to dwindle because there is a need for so many different shoe looks. Shoes are about to get accessorized. Shoe enthusiast Stephanie Kim, has created a solution to our problem by launching a shoe accessories line which enables us to wear the same shoe multiple times, but with different accessories.
Her brand dekkori features many new and exciting accessories to wear with a simple court shoe, pointy stilettos or just some forgotten mary-janes at the back of your shoe closet.
Objets Trouves Polaroid Scarf
Wear images of everyday life via these Polariod-esque scarves designed by Frenchman Philippe Roucou. Appropriately named Objets Trouves Polaroid Scarf, the collection offers a selection of Polariod images from balloons, a music show, a bed and French text. I love the look of these, Philippe is so clever, but I have to say, it’s kind of annoying that most of the scarves cost as much as a pair of (really decent) shoes!
Leather Band-Aids
The makers of Leather Band-Aids have coined a new phrase in fashion and medical care: “Hurt Couture”. Actually they claim that the leather breathes better than regular band-aids. We’re not sure how true that is, but we do know that this is the right way to dress a wound in style. Also, we have to admit that anyone wearing a leather band aid looks much tougher than anyone not wearing one. $15
