A few weeks ago I mentioned the holiday mascara collection Sephora Favorites Lash Stash, I was running low on mascara so I decided to buy the collection and as I did in previous years I will use them all, rate them and tell you which one I thought is best. Perfekt Lash Perfection Gel

For the past few weeks I’ve been using Perfekt Lash Perfection Gel, a product that aims to replace traditional mascara, lash primer, lash treatment, conditioner and enhancer.
This multitasking formulation glides on effortlessly to prime, darken, lengthen, strengthen, and condition lashes. Enriched with a soft and delicate ester derived from olives that ensures a polished effect, you can guarantee your lovely lashes will be fully covered from root to tip. Smudge-resistant and clump-free, Lash Perfection Gel provides natural buildable coverage and leaves the lashes looking lustrous and curled to perfection all day long.
My eyelashes are small and straight and what Perfekt Lash Perfection Gel did was give them a thicker appearance. I had a little bit of trouble with clumping because the brush didn’t seem to cover the eyelashes properly and I would use the tip, thus adding too much gel on some parts and making them clump.
It is lightweight and even though its not waterproof I’ve had no problem with smudging even during the hottest days in August. For day time I really liked this gel, for night time when I wanted something more dramatic I would apply a little more Lash Perfection Gel, curl my eyelashes and add traditional mascara especially to the tips, the end result were curled and thick eyelashes, can’t say I noticed any visual increase in length.
I would recommend this Gel to anyone who wants a subtle effect on their eyelashes. I didn’t see any difference from a traditional mascara, but this is a product worth trying out.
Top Four Mascaras for Great Eyelashes

During the holidays I bought a Sephora Gift Set that included 10 mascaras and since then I’ve been using them and rating them. I was blessed with my father’s eyelashes, which thanks to Lash Enhancement Products have increased in length, but not in manageability. They are still straight and difficult to keep curly; so even though the mascaras I used might work wonders with the lucky ones who have great lashes, I need the works.
So the following are my top four favorite mascaras. These all made a great job in staying on and helping my eyelashes stay curly for hours.
This one was not in the gift set, but I’m still impressed with the results. It’s Clinique’s High Length Mascara.
In Third Place is Make Up For Ever Professional.

I’m practically drooling as I write this. From many of my other posts, mascaras are a big obsession of mine and Sephora just made me extremely happy. For the Holiday season, they are selling a Mascara Deluxe Sampler.
The one I bought was from Sephora at JCPenney, slightly different, it includes 9 mini-size mascaras, 1 full-size mascara and 1 primer. My intention is to try them on for the next couple of months and get my top 3 picks.

My Quest for Great Eyelashes

Because of my recently acquired eyelashes, thanks to the use of a lash enhancement serum, I’ve been trying every mascara in front of me. The following is a review of some of the mascaras I’ve tried lately. My Sephora consultant tells me the mascara formula is one thing, but the trick is in the brush and how it applies the mascara into the eyelashes. The mascaras I’ve tried are all great, and yes, they all have very different brushes.
To start off I used Clinique’s High Lengths Mascara.
This is one of my favorites and carry it in my bag for quick touch-ups. The cool thing about the mascara is the brush, although it looks nothing like a brush. The tiny bristles are actually flexible and thanks to the shape, the mascara doesn’t clump in the brush or my eyelashes. The application can be awkward at first since the brush needs to be very close to the eyelid, but once you get it the results are great.
Next, also by Clinique, is their High Impact Mascara.
This formula has a deeper pigment which is aimed to give your eyes the extra kick. The brush in this case is the standard one which applies the formula evenly and gives your lashes a thicker feel to them. It delivers what it promises, but I felt it heavy on my lashes.
Finally, I tried a mascara from Benefit Cosmetics called Bad Gal (love the name!).
This mascara has one of the thickest brush in the market. It felt a little too thick to add the mascara on my lashes, but it didn’t clump and the end result were very nice and noticeable eyelashes.
Overall I recommend all the mascaras, it just depends on what you like. I’m still looking for the perfect one that will curl my eyelashes and keep them curled all day. This is a quest for me, I’ll keep you informed of the results

As they say in the music game, “put that on repeat”, once you try these beauties – you will repeat application time &; time again…
SCOTT BARNES BODY BLING – famous for giving J Lo her “glow”. Scott Barnes products are OOOOH so flossy! Let’s get real, “every boss loves to floss”. Once you slather this richness on your body you will see why it’s #1 to celeb’s, beauty editors, makeup artist and cosmetic junkies alike. I have this in my arsenal to add a sexy glow to my clients year round – not just summer months. The packaging alone gets their attention, OMigosh… what a beaute, all sleek, metallic-like. Think of this as a tinted moisturizer with a gold pop for your body, hence the name “BODY BLING”. If you have OCD like me, you might be bothered by the residue that’s left on your hands but hey instead of washing it off [waste not want not] rub it on your decollete or where ever you want to see a healthy glow.

BLINC – the “it” mascara, period. For many of us, we dwell in the mecca of Silicon Valley if not near it; we all think we’re tech savvy right? Well don’t sleep or better yet “blink” on this tech savvy brand; BLINC cosmetics has a mascara that will get heads turning. Its’ not conventional, no no this baby wraps each lash. Once applied, the tubes bind to your lashes and will not – I repeat – will not run, smudge, clump or flake. It’s a must have for anyone, especially for the “emotional wedding entourage”. Like I said…you will be putting this on repeatedly.
RMS Beauty “un” cover-up is also worth repeating. You might just faint the first time you dab it, slide it, smooth it …but hey, at least if you faint you’ll look good! We all know how hard it is to find a creamy yet solid concealer that won’t run or breakdown on you in 30-minutes after application. RMS Beauty has figured it out, they give you an organic product that can effectively covers blemishes and camouflage to perfection.
It retails for $36 but remember —–you get what you pay for!!

It’s no secret weddings can kick the tear-factor into overdrive. Whether you are a guest or the “blushing bride” herself; tears just have a way of showing up. I say — be prepared: dress your lashes with waterproof mascara then you can cry your eyes out, ha! Here are some shopping hints to select just the right formula for you.
Buy brands that say “ophthalmology tested”, promote quick drying, tar free and take careful notice of the wand.
Some great drugstore mascara options are:
Maybelline Great Lash [waterproof], Loreal Voluminous [waterproof] and Cover Girl Lash Blast [waterproof]
Beauties, this may sound like a “no brainer” but make sure you read the small print, look for the word “Waterproof” – don’t assume your covered. Oh, and one more tidbit…I always, I mean always reach for my SuperGoop wipes when I’m either swiping off stubborn makeup [like waterproof formulas] or cleaning my hands from makeup residue. Just think of the added bonus…you’ll be treating your skin with 30+ SPF, you can’t beat that with a stick…you should so try these!!
Pro Tip:
Not only should you coat your lashes in upward motion, you should also start at the base of your lash and wiggle in Z formation for perfection, it works like a charm;-).
Lancome Hypnose Drama

Lancome has done it again! They are helping us achieve what nature denied some of us: big and full lashes. Lancome introduce Hypnose mascara, winning a 2006 Beauty Award, promising up to 6 times the volume thanks to their exclusive formula enriched with vitamin B5.
Now they introduced Hypnose Drama, which promises high volume lashes thanks to their S-shaped brush. The brush is designed to give lashes a fanned out and full body look, very dramatic and a great way to add intensity to your vampy stare.
You can find Hypnose Drama at stores such as Macy’s, Sephora and Bloomingdales, as well as online on Lancome’s site. The mascara retails for $24.50, with a waterproof version also available. The more I read and learn about it, the more I want it. I may not have too many plans for the weekend, except for going to a store, purchase the mascara and be amazed at how my eyes will look.
