Whillas & Gunn: Autumn/Winter 2010

New Australian label Whillas & Gunn combines timeless rugged Australian outerwear with the polished fit of contemporary styling. With all the Heritage brands out now, it’s good to see one is emerging from down under. Just don’t mistake it for anything Crocodile Dundee might wear.

Screw Me Lamps

If you don’t already know, the lamp is very important part of interior (Tyler’s mom can attest to this). Lamps need to be completely suitable for the style of the room it belongs to.

If you are a fan of simple, modern interiors, less is usually more Take Jonathan Rowell’s lamp “Screw Me”, it consists of simple lines and two basic colors.

You can correct the height of lamp for your need thanks to its construction. It seems it says “Screw Me”!

Layer on the rings

Layering rings is a huge look right now. Models such as Abbey Lee Kershaw (pictured here) can flawlessly pull this look off (probably because they work with high ticket stylists). Right we’re hearing that stylists are inspired by the hippy, 70s movement; incorporating mood rings and cabochons wherever they can.

Styling tip for the average ladies: Rather than punky skulls and knuckeldusters or the overly blingy sparkly cocktail rings, try stones like turquoise, amber, aquamarine, garnet, lapis lazuli and onyx. Below is an image of Kristine F from Larvik, who has the look down in her Hunter Child outfit post on Lookbook.nu.

Pitcure my t-shirt Perfect!

There has been an influx in photo print fashion over the past few months. We all have our favorite photos that we like to show off, and what better way than by wearing them?

image of oh snap t shirts

That’s what Oh, Snap!, a photograph/t-shirt project has set out to do. Initially a side project to show off their shutterbug skills, No Star Clothing’s founders launched Vol. 1 of their Oh, Snap! “photography/T-shirt project” in December 2008. Now with Vol. 2 complete and Vol. 3 in the works, Oh, Snap! is continuing its search for amateur and professional photographs to feature on their tees, with one lucky photo contest winner receiving the honor of having their image printed on soft cotton. If you are a budding photographer, submit your photos to this contest for a chance to win $200 and your image on t-shirts sold on Oh, Snap! Photo Contest rules can be found here.

Tie-Dye Lite

image of dress desgned by jessi lindgren

Jessi is constantly sewing herself the trendiest new dresses, shirts and pants (you can imagine how excited I get to receive presents from her). Just today, she completed this number, I call it Tie-Dye Lite. It’s made of gray bamboo. The draping is excellent, creating a very flattering silhouette, for an already slim gal. After the dress was completed, she added peach paint to a spray can and sprayed the dress to give it this nice Tie-Dye effect.

I’m hoping she makes me something similar for my up-coming birthday!
