Erin Wasson for Low Luv Jewelry
After Erin Wasson’s success designing for Alexander Wang’s runway collection one of the most down to earth and well known model turned designer turned stylist now dabbles in jewelry. Her pieces are designed in collaboration with Low Luv Jewelry. The pieces are constructed from 14-karat gold and silver-plated materials. Wasson’s Spring collection was inspired by Nordic and Aztec designs. These pieces she’s made exclusively with Low Luv are much more affordable than her runway pieces, obviously.
Celebrity of the Moment: Daisy Lowe
When it comes to being a young style icon like Daisy Lowe, good breeding always helps. No other girl has such controversial and glamorous parentage as Daisy Lowe. She is the daughter of singer turned textiles designer Pearl Lowe, and grew up believing her father was her mom’s ex-husband. After Daisy discovered neither of her parents had her blood type, Daisy sought a paternity test and found out it was her godfather, Gavin Rossdale (lead singer of rock band Bush) who was her biological father.
Daisy has fronted campaigns for labels such as Ben Sherman, Burberry, Converse, Diesel, Dr. Martens, Esprit, Karen Millen, Mango and Wheels & Doll Baby. She has graced the covers of magazines and walked the runway for Chanel and Vivienne Westwood.
I continue to admire Daisy’s unique, off-beat style and modest charm. With an angelic face paired with grungy clothes I think Daisy manages to be cute, sexy and graceful all at once. As a size 10 model, Daisy has been referred to as ‘curvy’ and doesn’t mind standing out from the pack. She proudly flies the flag for those without the typical model shape in the fashion industry and is a good role model (in terms of body image) for teens.
Daisy has been doing a daily post of outfits for Vogue.co.uk called “Today I’m Wearing…” . In honor of Miss Lowe, here are some of my favorite looks from her.

Anne Hathaway Doesn’t Want Con Man Ex’s Jewelry
Anne Hathaway may have starred in The Devil Wears Prada, but she is hardly a material girl. In fact, Anne is kissing goodbye a treasure trove of jewels given to her by her con-man ex (pictured above)
Back in August 2008, Hathaway handed over about a dozen pieces of jewelry, just after her Italian-born former flame, Raffaello Follieri, was accused of cheating investors out of $13 million. Follieri was sentenced to 4 1/2 years in prison that October.
Anne had until February 2010 to file a petition claiming ownership of the jewels, which include two Rolex watches, a pair of silver-colored earrings with “blue and clear stones,” a silver-colored chain with a cross pendant, two gold-colored rings, a five-strand pearl necklace, and a Louis Vuitton box.
Hathaway may have closed the door on Follieri’s legal issues, but her new love interest, actor Adam Shulman (pictured below), has introduced Hathaway to a whole new world of legal trouble. He was recently accused of theft after removing a mural from a Manhattan construction site on Saturday May 15th. Shulman apparently thought it was free for the taking, said H&H Builders president Ken Hart, but returned the artwork after realizing his mistake.

Trend Alert: Layered Necklaces
My favorite accessory, hands down, would have to be necklaces. There are chokers, pendant necklaces, pearl necklaces, bead necklaces, gold and sterling silver necklaces, long draping necklaces, plastic necklaces, and jeweled necklaces to choose from, who wouldn’t find what they’re looking for with all this variety? For me, deciding which one to wear each day is challenging because I more than one work with my outfit….so bring on the Spring 2010 trend of layering necklaces.
Layering necklaces to create entirely new looks. The key to layering necklaces is layering different styles of necklaces. If you layer necklaces that are all the same, the look is not as effective or nearly as interesting. Try to find necklaces that are of different lengths. Also try alternating pendants and beaded necklaces. You shouldn’t be afraid of mixing metals. In the past, mixing gold and sterling silver jewelry was a faux pas, but when it comes to this trend, mixing metals is completely fine. Also, don’t worry about it being too bulky. Usually, more you have on, the better, but do not go overboard. Three to four necklaces should do the trick! If the necklaces are bulky on their own opt for a smaller number of necklaces. If they are thin and dainty you can add more! Try to mix weights, colors, lengths, and styles, and you will come out with a fabulous new look.
Layer on the rings
Layering rings is a huge look right now. Models such as Abbey Lee Kershaw (pictured here) can flawlessly pull this look off (probably because they work with high ticket stylists). Right we’re hearing that stylists are inspired by the hippy, 70s movement; incorporating mood rings and cabochons wherever they can.
Styling tip for the average ladies: Rather than punky skulls and knuckeldusters or the overly blingy sparkly cocktail rings, try stones like turquoise, amber, aquamarine, garnet, lapis lazuli and onyx. Below is an image of Kristine F from Larvik, who has the look down in her Hunter Child outfit post on Lookbook.nu.
